Who We Are
UCEC (UK-China Culture & Education Cooperation Promotion Centre Ltd) is a London-based organisation dedicated to building educational and cultural links between China and the United Kingdom.
We work with schools, universities, colleges, and community organisations across both countries to design and deliver impactful projects including teacher training, student exchange programmes, academic research sponsorship, and cultural initiatives.
From university collaborations and vocational education to community wellbeing and charitable giving, our work is grounded in long-term partnership, mutual understanding, and educational innovation.
What We Do
1. Education Programmes
We design and coordinate high-quality academic experiences, including:
- Professional training for teachers and school leaders
- Subject-based learning tours and immersion weeks for students
University visits, lectures, and cultural exchange opportunities
2. Institutional Development
We support schools, colleges, and universities in both countries through:
- Strategic partnerships
- Knowledge exchange and school visits
Internationalisation and outreach planning
3. Research & Knowledge Sharing
We sponsor and promote educational research that has real-world impact. Our past projects include:
- Early years and CPD research with University College London (UCL)
Co-launching the first International Forum on Child Development in China with BNU and ECNU
4. Community & Cultural Engagement
Through our partnership with Homecamp Education, we deliver:
- Student wellbeing support and family engagement
- Charitable initiatives in the arts, mental health, and education
Intercultural events, festivals, and creative projects that build understanding and connection
Our Vision
UCEC’s vision is to strengthen the capacity of educational institutions and professionals through targeted, high-quality collaboration between the UK and China. To be a leading force in strengthening education systems and cross-cultural collaboration between China and the UK by enabling high-impact teacher training, student development, and institutional partnerships that deliver long-term value.
We focus on:
- Delivering scalable training and development programmes for teachers, headteachers, and education leaders
- Designing structured academic experiences for students, including subject-based summer schools and university immersion programmes
- Facilitating institutional partnerships across basic, vocational, and higher education
- Supporting applied educational research that informs practice and policy, particularly in early childhood and teacher education
- Investing in community wellbeing and student support
