UCEC was pleased to welcome a group of undergraduate students from Zhejiang University of Technology for a month-long Oxford visiting programme — one of the most immersive and academically rich experiences UCEC offers. Running from 30th January to 25th February 2026, the programme combined university-level lectures, skills workshops, cultural excursions, and a formal closing presentation to give students a genuine taste of life and learning at Oxford.

The programme was structured to develop students both academically and personally. Lectures spanned a broad range of disciplines — from Artificial Intelligence and Biomedical Engineering to Material Sciences, Chemical Engineering, and Entrepreneurship — delivered at Kellogg College, Rewley House, and Begbroke Science Park.

Alongside the academic content, a rich programme of skills development ran throughout, including:

Cultural life was woven throughout the month, with weekend free time in Oxford, a London city tour, a visit to Cambridge University, a trip to the Seven Sisters Cliffs, and — aptly timed — Chinese New Year Eve celebrations in Oxford. The programme closed with a formal ceremony, certificates, and group portraits before students departed on 26th February.

For students from Zhejiang University of Technology, the month in Oxford was far more than a study trip. It was an opportunity to engage with world-class academic content, build lasting international connections, and develop the skills and confidence that come from stepping fully into a new academic culture.
